Position Overview
We’re on the lookout for a warm, empathetic, and organized individual to serve as our Patient Experience Coordinator at the front desk of our esteemed optometry office. Your primary mission will be to ensure that each patient feels valued, heard, and supported throughout their visit. You’ll oversee administrative tasks while dedicating yourself to creating a seamless and delightful experience for every individual who walks through our doors.
Position Responsibilities
- Patient Welcome & Comfort: Bet the welcome face that greets patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive until they leave. Create a soothing and inviting atmosphere in our waiting area.
- Personalized Appointment Care: Handle appointment scheduling with a focus on accommodating patient preferences. Tailor our scheduling system to fit their needs, making the process smooth and stress-free.
- Attentive Communications: Serve as a compassionate liaison between patients and our optometrists. Listen actively to concerns, relay messages promptly, and ensure that all patient queries are addressed promptly and thoughtfully.
- Empathic Assistance: Provide empathetic and informative assistance to patients, addressing their questions regarding services, insurance, billing, and any other concerns they might have. Show genuine care in resolving their queries.
- Patient- Centric Record Management: Maintain patient records with the utmost attention to accuracy and privacy. Ensure that their personal information, insurance details, and medical history are handled securely and respectfully.
- Streamlined Administrative Support: Support the offices’ administrative needs by efficiently managing tasks like filing, organizing, and maintaining office supplies. Keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Position Overview
The Optician/Stylist is responsible for merchandising, selling, and eyewear services for our patients. They focus on completing specific and essential responsibilities that pertain to product knowledge of frames and lenses, sales, and creating an inspiring patient experience. Opticians will report directly to the Optical Manager.
Position Responsibilities
- Work With patients to uncover individual patient needs and educate them on the best product that will satisfy the patients’ needs
- Complete all patient frame and lens orders by sending to the appropriate lab the same day as the transaction
- Keep retail floor aligned to meet the merchandising guidelines of VisionQuest Eyecare
- Be able to use a lensometer to read the prescription of patient’s spectacle lenses
- Perform adjustments on all frames to get adequate fit for patient satisfaction
- Complete inventory on optical frames and maintain accurate results
- File all necessary insurance claims the same day as transition to insure timely arrival and payment of patient orders
- Stay current on frame trends in the industry as well as new technology with spectacle lens design
Basic Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service role
- Must complete ABOC testing within first year of employment
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to have high accuracy when entering in patient information
- Exceptional personal skills to enhance the patient experience
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
Position Overview
The Vision Therapist (VT) is responsible for supporting and partnering with the VT Optometrist in completing essential functions that pertain to the performance of vision therapy and the vision therapy patients’ experience. The Vision Therapist is responsible for completing in-office Vision Therapy sessions for patients on his/her case load. The Vision Therapist reports directly to the Office Manager, VT Optometrist, Chief Operating Officer, and Owners of the practice to meet the practice staffing and organizational needs, fosters a team environment, and the ability to motivate others.
Essential Responsibilities
- Partner with the VT OD and current Vision Therapists to complete training regarding therapy procedures and protocols for each diagnosis prior to seeing own patients for therapy.
- Partner with the VT OD to adequately program, perform, and document vision therapy sessions for patients weekly to gain progress desired for each case.
- Responsible for adequately planning home therapy activities for practice and maintenance of skills for own therapy patients each week.
- Properly schedule own therapy patients for weekly appointments and progress evaluations every ~8 sessions and be the main point of contact for patients and their parents.
- Partner with the VT OD to address any questions or concerns about patient progress and therapy performance.
- Responsible for accepting payments for vision therapy services.
- Foster an environment that embraces the vision of VisionQuest Eyecare.
- Commit to an environment of continuing education through College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Vision Source training materials, Revolution HER and Infinite VT.
Qualification Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- High School/GED
- Bachelors Degree/ Associates Degree Preferred

- Ability to effectively communicate in English with both internal and external customers, including but not limited to colleagues, supervisors, management, clients, client employees, business partners, etc.
- Ability and experience effectively working with key decision makers (including business owners, managers, controllers); as well as being able to relate and communicate effectively with worksite employees.

Position Overview
Technicians are responsible for all patient’s preliminary testing, assisting the doctors with any exam needs, and any contact lens related issues. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met, while completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to conducting preliminary testing and gathering medical information and the overall patient experience. Technicians report directly to the Manager at their location and work in a team environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs all preliminary and any doctor requested testing on patients.
- Accurately document patient’s medical history and testing results.
- Prepare and clean exam rooms for doctor to perform exams on patients.
- Receive and verify contact lens orders for patients.
- Order and keep inventory of contact lens stock trial lenses, contact lens rebates, contact lens solutions, vitamin supplements, and over the counter and pharmaceutical eye drops.
- Instruct new contact lens wearers on how to insert and remove contact lenses.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures, government regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service role
