Dr. Chris Browning of VisionQuest Eyecare has been honored as 2026 Optometrist of the Year by the Indiana Optometric Association.
The award, presented by the association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis, is considered a prestigious recognition of his impact on patient care and the profession.
These awards are bestowed on members of the IOA who demonstrate not only contributions to the profession, but also service on behalf of the visual welfare of the public and service to the community at large.
Dr. Browning practices out of VisionQuest’s Greenwood, Indiana office with specialties in myopia management, ocular disease management and treatment and laser vision correction co-management.
He is a past winner of the TLC Laser Eye Centers’ Dennis Kennedy Excellence in Eyecare Award, the Young Optometrist of the Year by the Indiana Optometric Association in 2011 and the Meritorious Service Award from the Indiana Optometric Association in 2023.
Dr. Browning has been published in several journals in the field of practice management and served as a consultant to practices across the country in areas of efficient delivery of healthcare and best care for patients.
In addition to being a clinical investigator for a study with Bausch & Lomb in daily replacement contact lenses, Dr. Browning has also been a clinical investigator for Alcon Visioncare for Multifocal lens technology.
