Gaia R. Hess, OD is a caring vision therapy and myopia management doctor at VisionQuest Eye Care. She is passionate about pediatric eye care and believes in educating her young patients and their parents about what is happening with their eyes while working with them to achieve their best vision.

Education/Experience
Dr. Hess earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Indiana University and then attended the Indiana University School of Optometry for her Doctor of Optometry.
She finished her residency in pediatrics and binocular vision while at the Indiana University School of Optometry, gaining experience with orthokeratology and soft lenses for myopia management, strabismus, amblyopia, vision therapy and traumatic brain injury.
She uses her experience and education to bring clearer, healthier eyes and sight to the children in need of vision therapy and myopia management in her community.

Dr. Gaia R. Hess
Dr. Hess grew up in Greenwood and lives there with her husband and their two cats, Nessie and Nutmeg.
When she isn’t giving her all to pediatric care, she enjoys supporting local animal shelters. Together, she and her husband have fostered more than 30 kittens.
